What is Knock N’ Drop?

Knock N’ Drop is here to revolutionise the way you shop for food. Whether it’s meat, veg or general groceries – we’ve joined forces with your favourite local shops to bring fresh produce straight to your door. Our team of dedicated drivers provide a hygienic service, preventing the spread of COVID- 19 by allowing you to stay at home, stay safe and stay fed.

What is the story behind Knock N’ Drop?

Emerging in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cameron Millen and Harry Maitland made it their sole mission to get as much food to as many vulnerable people as possible. Now in partnership with numerous independent stores and with a team of passionate drivers, Knock N’ Drop is the fastest, most trusted way to order local groceries, straight to your front door.

Using Knock N' Drop

How does it work?

You can order through our website or directly over the phone with your chosen store. Simply enter your postcode, select your store and place your order!

Once your order has been confirmed, you will receive a text with an allocated time slot letting you know when we will arrive. Our KnD driver will then collect your order and bring it straight to your front door.

 All our Knock N’ Drop boxes come with next day delivery.

What kind of shops are listed on Knock N’ Drop?

We are proud to work alongside your high quality local vendors in their fight to stay open during COVID – 19.  Our shops can range from independent high street butchers to neighbourhood green grocers – this can vary with your location.

What times can I order for?

We deliver daily. Orders will be delivered between the hours of 9AM and 5PM but this can vary depending on the vendor. We will send you a text once the order has been picked up to let you know it is on the way, and another text once your driver arrives!

How is the food delivered to me?

Speed is at the heart of Knock N’ Drop, we ensure your produce spends no longer than 90 minutes in transit. Hygiene is also at the core of what we do. All our drivers undertake rigorous precautions to make sure your order is transported in a safe and hygienic way. Please head over to our hygiene page for more information.

Why doesn’t Knock N’ Drop accept cash?

Payment for delivery is charged alongside your bill. We only take card payments as it allows us to protect you, and our drivers. A strict no contact policy creates a safer working environment and stops the spread of COVID-19.

Do I have to tip?

Whether you tip or not is completely up to you. We stress that there is no contact between you and your delivery driver so please tip safely. You can leave cash on your doorstep, or arrange a location with your driver upon arrival. Drivers receive 100% of all tips.

Is there a minimum spend?

That is up to the shop! The majority of shops do not have a minimum order policy.  If there is a minimum order amount, you will be informed at checkout before you place your order.

Corona Virus

Is ordering through Knock N’ Drop safe?

With our drivers fighting on the frontline against COVID-19, we ensure hygiene is our biggest priority; we make sure every Knock N’ Drop delivery follows our uncompromising hygiene standards. Our Vendors follow Governmental Guidelines on food preparation and our drivers are fully educated on food delivery safety rules.  It is also important to note that the European Food Safety Authority has said that there is “no evidence that food is a likely source or route of transmission of the virus”. DBS checked drivers are also available.

How does Knock N’ Drop’s contact-free delivery work?

Contact free delivery is an essential part of stopping the spread of COVID-19. The process is simple – we will let you know when your driver has arrived, placed your order on the doorstep and is stood safely away from your door. They will wait until the customer has collected the food before confirming the order has been completed.

How can you support drivers?

Stay at home. Our drivers are frontline essential workers here to play a key role in the fight against COVID-19. We are working around the clock to provide an efficient and hygienic system to get as much food to as many people as possible; please respect their safety as well as your own.

How can I keep in touch with you?

We have a support team dedicated to customers, drivers and vendors. Please do not hesitate to send us an email or message us on social media with any questions you may have. We are happy to help.

Fees on Knock N' Drop

Delivery Fee

Knock N’ Drop charge a £2.50 delivery fee on all deliveries. This helps us pay our drivers and expand Knock N’ Drop. Our aim is to become established in as many areas as possible, therefore getting more food to more people, whilst keeping your local community alive during these tumultuous times.  

Questions about my order

What if something is missing from my order?

If something appears to be missing from your order, please notify your Knock N’ Drop driver. Alternatively, you can get in contact with our dedicated team who are on standby to guide you through any problems. Simply go to the bottom of any page, and fill out our Knock N’ Drop feedback form. We understand that sometimes things may go wrong and if they do, please do not hesitate to report any issues directly to us. We will do our upmost to solve any problem!

What if my order is late?

Sometimes things outside of a drivers control can cause a delay. Please bear with us as occasionally your order may not arrive within its estimated time window. Rest assured our team will work to get your order delivered to you as quickly as possible.

What if I’m not around when my driver arrives?

Your driver will always try to call you directly if they do not find anyone at your delivery address. If they are unable to contact you, we will notify you that your delivery has not been completed and we will be in touch to reschedule immediately. Please keep your phone nearby if you are expecting a delivery.

Knock N’ Drop has one aim: to get a much food to as many people as possible. We are constantly expanding and trying to support new shops, new villages and new communities.
